On behalf of the flag officers and club members, I welcome you to the Royal Dorset Yacht Club website. With the summer fully underway I trust that you are having an enjoyable season.
Our club has been at the heart of sailing in Weymouth for over 100 years and boasts a fascinating history. Last year was the 140th Anniversary of the Royal Dorset Yacht Club and a number of successful commemorative events,
including the reintroduction of a Royal Dorset Regatta, were held to celebrate the occasion.
The fabulous clubhouse retains and celebrates the Club's history and traditions whilst providing first class bar and catering facilities - with separate lounge and dining areas, free WiFi and stunning views over Weymouth Harbour. Please keep an eye on the website for more opportunities to catch up on the season's events, share some 'salty sea dog tales' and make plans for the remainder of this season and next.
We will shortly be recommencing our monthly member's nights, and a number
of interesting talks to whet your appetites for voyages further afield are already planned.
The Royal Dorset offers a warm welcome, especially to visiting yachtsmen. There are a number of membership options available including a new 'Affiliate Membership' category, specifically for boat owners from other yacht clubs.
Our traditional Burns Night Dinner will be held on Saturday January 21st, watch the website for details on ticket availability.
To our existing and prospective members, as well as visitors, the Royal Dorset is open for you to enjoy.
