Royal Dorset Yacht Club News

Dear Member

I trust you are all keeping safe and well throughout what still seems to be some challenging times.

I hope you have had an enjoyable season, both on and off the water, whether in Dorset or further afield.

We held a very successful Trafalgar Night in October 2021 and a really fun evening with Blind Wine Tasting and Cheese Platters during November 2021.  Before we know it we will be celebrating Christmas and then New Year!

As we enter the new year and there is greater clarity around Covid restrictions and implications, we will be looking to programme regular talks and club nights once again.

Kind regards,  Kristin

Kristin Crook,  Commodore

Upcoming Events

Saturday 17th July

The clubhouse will host an evening with a buffet and dancing to C Sharp Blues. Please book via email as places are limited.

Saturday 14th August

Join us in the clubhouse for a thai buffet and dancing to Norman and Anne (from Replay). Members will need to book by email.

Trafalgar Night

We will be organising our traditional black tie dinner with entertainment by Darron Garnett and the usual excellent food on 23rd October.  We will be limiting numbers to ensure all members can enjoy more space.  I would expect this to book up quickly once it is advertised so watch this space for further details.  Once again, booking will be by email only.

Annual General Meeting

As you will be aware the AGM date has moved several times  due to the pandemic and we will be holding our AGM in March 2022 due to ongoing restrictions and potential new variants etc.  I am sure you will understand the rationale for doing this.
