Rear Admiral’s Cup: First race (of three)
The first event of the series took place in Weymouth Bay on Saturday 15 May.
The 15 knot wind increased gradually during the race to just over 20 knots - challenging for small boats!
The RDYC team of Wahinee Waves, Jasrah III and a last minute swap of yachts by Mark Kemmis Betty to a Super Seal 26, did creditably against WSC and CCSC teams who race regularly.
Results will be forthcoming shortly following agreement on Summer Wine’s handicap. Provisionally WSC are in the lead with CCSC second; two more races to go.
