Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy
Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour are widely recognised as the finest sailing waters in the UK. This together with the development of the new purpose built, on-shore facilities have resulted in the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy being selected as the venue for the London 2012 Olympic sailing events.

Yacht Clubs of Weymouth
YCW is the umbrella organisation for:
* Castle Cove Sailing Club
* Royal Dorset Yacht Club
* Royal Naval Sailing Association (Portland)
* Weymouth and Portland Cruising Association
* Weymouth Sailing Club
It co-ordinates the activities of these clubs and organises larger events that are outside the scope of an individual club, especially the Henri-Lloyd Weymouth Regatta and major championships.

Weymouth Marina
Weymouth Marina is a modern purpose-built marina providing over 280 permanent and visiting berths, situated in the inner harbour beyond the town's historic lifting bridge. There are no tidal access restrictions as the marina is dredged to 2.5 metres below chart datum.

Portland Harbour
Portland Port has the second largest man made harbour in the world, situated 22 miles north of the westerly shipping lanes and on the main maritime trade routes allowing fast, safe access 24 hours a day. There are no restrictions by locks, tides, beam or air draft and the port’s well sheltered waters allow access for vessels up to 20m draft in the outer harbour and up to 12m draft in the inner harbour including a maximum draft of 11.5m alongside.
